Sea walks, sport fishing and tapas aperitif from Capbreton: take a different look at the coastline!

This month, we cast off and head for the south coast of the Landes, with our partner X-CAT. Let's go for a boat trip from the port of Capbreton. A CATAMARAN EXCURSION IN THE COMPANY OF DOLPHINS

Depart from Capbreton, the only port in the Landes, and embark on a commented sea trip on the Côte d'Argent on board the catamaran Xcat'! We set sail for an hour's ride along the French and Spanish coasts, just a stone's throw from the Basque Country. With your hair blowing in the wind and your eyes fixed on the ocean, you will discover the Landes coast in all its splendour: Capbreton "the city of 100 captains", Seignosse "the wild one" and Hossegor "the middle-class one".

A passionate skipper will tell you about the history of the Landes, the marine fauna and flora, the formation of the coastal dunes, the diversion of the Adour, the legend of the giant squid of the Gouf de Capbreton... An opportunity to discover this unique underwater canyon, one of the deepest in the world at 4,000 metres. Many cetaceans can be seen in their natural environment: Risso's dolphins, Cuvier's beaked whales, pygmy sperm whales, Blainville's beaked whales... Some dolphins come to play under the bow of the boat. You could almost pet them! We also note the presence of rare sharks such as the mako shark, the hammerhead shark and the basking shark, and even tropical fish (sunfish, triggerfish, jackfish...) and leatherback turtles usually found in warm seas. You don't have to travel thousands of kilometres to get a complete change of scene!

SUNSET AND TAPAS EVENING AT SEA

Take a seat on board the catamaran Xcat', in chill and relaxation mode. Everyone can enjoy the evening as they please, lying on the sunbathing benches or on the deck with a glass of homemade tapas to wait for the sun to set. All this in a musical atmosphere. A SEA FISHING TRIP AROUND THE GULF OF CAPBRETON

Are you an inshore fishing enthusiast? Whether you are a beginner or an experienced fisherman, come aboard Xcat' for a morning of fishing in a friendly and professional atmosphere. The port of Capbreton is located less than ten miles from the first fishing areas. Among the species frequently caught are sea bream, pout, serrano, horse mackerel and triggerfish. Trips are organised from April to the end of October from the port of Capbreton, fishing with lures and bait.

If you are interested in big game fishing, the Gouf de Capbreton is the absolute reference in this field, with emblematic species such as bluefin tuna, albacore tuna and marlin, a close cousin of swordfish. Are you ready to experience the thrill of sport fishing? Boarding from May to the end of October, 8-hour day, minimum age: 8 years (accompanied by an adult).
