Our family-run campsite offers idyllic conditions for setting up your open-air residence.

For Sara, it's a return to her roots:"I've been coming to Le Vieux Port campsite with my parents since I was a child, and as an adult I wanted to offer the same experience to my own children."

Jean-Claude, for his part, enjoys the site at weekends and on public holidays, attracted by the beauty of the place: "I really like this area". Christophe highlights the proximity of the ocean and the convenience of the campsite's facilities: "The first thing that attracted us was the ocean and the second was the campsite, which has everything. It's only a 10-minute walk, so there's no need to take the car to get to the beach!"

2️⃣ Why did you choose this particular campsite?

The Vieux Port is much more than just a holiday destination in the best months of the year, it's a haven of peace for many residents.

As Sara Le Vieux Port is like a second home to me and I've always dreamt of having my own mobile home there. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the town centre and the markets. The beach is nearby, in the heart of a pine forest. The campsite is spotless, clean and has top-class facilities that justify the cost of renting the site", illustrating the emotional attachment that this place inspires.

For Jean-Claude, camping is a place where you feel serene : "For me, it's the peace and quiet that the campsite offers. The security service is reassuring. That's an advantage."

For his part, Alain shares his experience, having discovered this place a long time ago: "The first time I came was in 1983, when a friend of mine was from Vieux-Boucau. He brought us here, and since 1995 I've been coming much more often. There's the necessary comfort, which is a plus compared to other campsites."

What he particularly likes:"It's all the services the campsite has tooffer. Because I get up, I go and get my bread from the mini-market, I go and prepare breakfast. Everything is within easy reach. When you have a house, you have to take the car to get the bread and do the basic shopping. There's also all the camping life I'm used to: takeaways, restaurants, shows for the kids, the beach on foot... The facilities and services are suitable for all members of the family."

3️⃣ What advantages did you see in buying your own mobile home (cost, location, etc)?

Buying a mobile home at our campsite has a number of advantages that appeal to owners. The choice of mobile homes and equipment means that everyone can find the one that best suits their budget and lifestyle. When you add in all the campsite's services and facilities, such as the swimming pool, restaurants and family activities, you can immediately see the advantage of a complete package offering excellent value for money, especially when compared with the purchase of a modest-sized flat.

Jean-Claude : "Our mobile home is counted as a mobile home. It's not a second home. So we don't pay council tax, just tourist tax, which I prefer to pay on an ad hoc basis, only when I come to the campsite."

Christophe : "There's everything: the swimming pool, the sea, the restaurants. My wife and I looked into the various investment options available and we found that a mobile home at this campsite was a good compromise because, for example, for the same money we would have had a tiny 25m² flat for the same price."

The seasonal package offered by Le Vieux Port includes access to the campsite and all its facilities and services for owners and their dependants during the opening period. Water, electricity and WiFi charges are included. This package is payable in cash or in eight instalments fixed in advance. Only daily maintenance, tourist tax, insurance and gas costs are payable by the owner.

Jean-Claude points out that "this package includes not only water and electricity, but also maintenance of the communal areas and access to various services such as entertainment and facilities". What's more, the option of paying in instalments means that the cost can be spread out, making it more affordable. Alain emphasises the economic advantage: "With the seasonal package [...], compared with 1 week in a mobile home at the holiday rate, you realise that there are a lot of weeks for the same price. [...] My package is about the price of 4 weeks but I can stay for 6 months."

For Sara, over and above the package price, the additional options on offer are also advantageous, as the campsite allows owners to take charge of certain essential tasks (karcher cleaning, fire extinguisher maintenance, wintering and restarting the mobile home, etc.), while ensuring compliance with current standards, which is crucial for remote owners."We pay the campsite to take on the difficult tasks that need to be done and for them to issue us with the necessary certificates - because we live in the UK, this is very important to us."

First of all, as Sara points out, it's essential to take the time to get to know the campsite as a holidaymaker so you can better appreciate all it has to offer: "Make your own experience of this unique place!"

Next, it's essential to find out all the details of the contract. Having a clear understanding of these elements allows you to plan your holiday with complete peace of mind. Jean-Claude puts it this way: "It's important to find out everything that's in the purchase contract, such as the opening dates and the dates when the property will be available."

As Alain explains: "The advice is to fit it out, to integrate this part too, because financially it's a bit of an outlay, but in the end it's a win-win situation.
